Community is essential to our organization’s foundation as it amplifies support, resources, and opportunities. Over the past 15 years, our mission to assist our young ladies by educating, attending, training, and mentally equipping
them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to live productive and rewarding lives, has been propelled forward by our incredible community's generosity, dedication, and passion. From the early days of our organization to the present, every contribution—whether through time, resources, expertise, or advocacy—has made an extraordinary difference in the lives of the girls we serve.
To honor the remarkable support we receive, we are dedicated to providing opportunities for our girls to give back by engaging in volunteer projects, mentorship, skill-based contributions, advocacy, and leadership roles, thus helping them develop valuable skills and fostering a culture of giving. We partner with local churches, schools, and other non-profits to feed families, host giving drives, and make handmade wigs for women experiencing hair loss in hopes of creating a cycle of generosity and engagement.
We started the Juanita Project to give back and empower the women in our local community. Thanks to Porsha Thompson and Juanita Harold, our girls leveled up their sewing skills by learning how to make handmade wigs. We held nominations to decide who would be honored with a custom wig, glam session, and a professional headshot. Our winner, Shirlee Anderson, experienced hair loss from alopecia. During her glam session, Shirlee received a custom wig created and styled by Porsha Thompson, owner of Virtue of Beauty, and had her make-up done by Dayanna Rodriguez-Frasco. Shirlee also had a professional headshot from South Shore Photo Studios. Special thanks to Porsha Thompson, Juanita Miller, Jeff Dobish, Dayanna Rodriguez-Frasco, and Niah Byers for helping make the Juanita Project possible.
Each year, we organize a donation drive for the local Florida nonprofits in our community. Our girls distribute the collected items, all serving different community needs. This day of service expands the meaning of the holiday for the young ladies and provides resources to the local service organizations.
Our girls packed over 2 thousand boxes of food for families in need. They also served single mothers during the Mother’s Day Brunch.
Our girls volunteered at Wellspring Church to feed families on Thanksgiving Day.
In 2023, our girls collected and gift-wrapped over 20 pairs of new shoes for the students at Redderick Elementary School.
In 2023, we donated 36 pairs of Vans to the students at Doby Elementary School.
