GIRLS OF THE WORLD INC. is a non-profit organization that provides life-skills and mentoring services to young ladies. Our different programs help these young ladies realize their potential & abilities to express their talents, develop a positive sense of identity, self-worth and become better versions of themselves.
Our mission is to assist our young ladies by educating, listening, training and mentally equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to live productive and rewarding lives.
Our vision is to decrease the crime, teen pregnancy, and juvenile delinquency rate amongst our young ladies within our local and national communities.
Lea Manningham was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio in 1977. While in middle school, Lea played baseball, basketball, and ran track (her favorite sport). During the transition from middle school to high school, life changed for her; as Lea became a teen mom at 16 years old. She was in a domestic violence relationship and endured homelessness. However, Lea did not allow these challenges to hinder her from becoming a phenomenal mother and leader. She continued her education and received a degree in theology from Warner University. Lea always wanted to give back to the young girls in her community. Her passion is to guide, educate and empower them to live productive lives. Lea has mentored hundreds of young ladies throughout Florida and Ohio and hopes to reach more girls in other states.
